Ike's is situated in the residence hall complex and caters to the late night diner. Southside, Mason's newest dining venue, features exhibition-style cooking. Resident Technicians, or ResTechs as they are known, are specially trained computer specialists who actually live in the residential complexes in which they serve. A part of the Information Technology Unit, ResTechs work evenings from 5 to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and they actually come to the students’ rooms to help with computer problems. Living and Dining

Whether it’s beef brisket, bruschetta, or Southern braised greens you crave, you can find just about any dish to suit your taste right on campus. Southside, Mason’s new main dining hall, boasts seven different food stations catering to all appetites in an all-you-can-eat format. Other on-campus dining options include, but are not limited to, a 1950s-style after-hours diner, and various food court eateries featuring Indian, Italian, and Chinese cuisine, as well as Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, and Freshëns.

When it comes to residential options, Mason can’t be beat; the university will soon boast one of the largest university residential communities in Virginia. Housing is guaranteed for freshman, and if you enter as a freshman, it is guaranteed for all four years. Currently, a third of all Mason undergraduates live on campus.
